The Foreign Language Education Center was established
to strengthen foreign-language acquisition and improve conversation skills,
while at the same time contributing to the foreign-language education of
the local community.

CALL Room

Various lectures for diverse needs
The Center is equipped with a CALL Room, where each student has a
computerized language-learning desk, and an LL Room provided with
computer and audio-visual equipment. These facilities are utilized
in a range of activities in addition to language-learning. |

Wide selection of foreign-language acquisition software
Self-study is important for students interested in acquiring foreign
languages, and the tape library on the 2nd floor offers about
5,000 DVD's,videos, laser discs and cassettes to make it possible.
The lobby on the 1st floor also offers a selection of English,
German, French and other newspapers and magazines. |

Autonomous programs
The Center also plans and implements a variety of autonomous programs
available to all students, including certified TOEIC(R) tests and
open lectures on English and related subjects. Students interested
in foreign languages are free to participate at any time. |
