概要
The purpose of English 1 and 2 is to help students improve their English speaking skills.
到達目標
By taking English 1 and 2, they are expected to improve their speaking abilities in English.
履修上の注意
This course will focus on everyday situations that will help students develop primarily the skills of speaking. During the course students will also develop the other three skills of listening, reading and writing. The textbook has a variety of topics that will provide a stimulus for class discussion. Students will be expected to work individually, in pairs and in groups.
Homework assignments will be given from time to time, and should be completed on time and handed in at the beginning of the following class. Students should attend every class and only use English in the classroom. Students should be punctual. Students that are late for class should be aware that they may lose points for that class. Cell phones should be switched off before entering the classroom. Participation in class activities is also very important as students will be working not only individually but also with their classmates.
