概要
In this class, students will learn and improve basic presentation skills in English. The course covers the following areas: developing and organizing research and ideas; designing visual aids; and delivering effective presentations.
到達目標
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: (1) organize research and ideas coherently and clearly in order to make presentations; (2) deliver presentations effectively through correct use of gestures, eye contact, and intonation; and (3) use a variety of visual aids in order to enhance the clarity of presentations.
履修上の注意
Students are expected to attend class regularly and to do all assignments as they come up. Points will not be granted to those who miss presentation days without a valid reason.

Week 4: Practice for self-introduction

Week 6: Preparation for dialogue presentation

Week 9: Describing hometown
Week 10: Designing visual aids
Week 11: Presentation 3: Introducing hometown
Week 12: Collecting materials for research presentation
Week 13: Developing research presentation script
Week 14: Polishing research presentation script
Week 15: Finalizing research presentation script
Final Exam
(Changes may be made in the schedule according to the number of students and the progress made in each class.)

について
Students are expected to complete all the assignments on time and come to class prepared. It is also important to review each lesson.

Class performance 20%
In-class presentations 40%
Final exam 40%
Class performance includes attendance and participation through the semester and in assignments. Delivering a group presentation will be the final exam.
成績評価基準
Final scores will be based on the quality of class performance and all the assignments through the semester. Consideration will be given to active participation in class, effort, thorough preparation, and sufficient collaboration.
