概要
In this course, following on from Extensive Reading & Listening I, we will focus on increasing the amount of English input you receive by utilizing extensive reading and extensive listening. While this work will largely take place outside of the course, a series of assignments in the form of presentations and written work will be used to provide class content. You will also be asked to write reviews of the books or video clips you have read and watched.
到達目標
Students must, to reach the minimum amount of input, both read a specific number of words or books per week and watch and speak a specific number of videos through the EnglishCentral system. The specific goals of the amount of reading and listening will be announced in the class. Students will develop fluency in reading and listening: students will be able to read faster, understand better, and enjoy reading books. Students will also be able to listen, understand better, and enjoy listening to a wide range of topics.
履修上の注意
Students should attend class regularly and on time, do assigned tasks, and prepare adequately for class by reading at least the minimum number of words and watching and speaking the minimum number of videos through EnglishCentral. Failure to do this will result in a failing grade. This class will focus above all on large amounts of reading, and students should continue to gain familiarity with the University Library, the Language Learning Commons, and the "Eibun Shiryoushitsu", and the materials therein. Students should also master how to use the EnglishCentral system.

予習・復習
について
Preparation and reviewing are not considered to be separate components of the course. By doing the assigned reading, listening, and writing tasks, many of them outside of class, students will make gradual progress.
Conversely, students who do not work outside of class will not be able to finish all the required work.
使用教材
We will use the Orange Book (読書記録手帳). Computer-based materials and tools will be introduced in class, and there will be no charge for these materials.
参考文献
Reference materials will be introduced as necessary in class.
単位認定
