Goodfellas, Part Two
Goodfellas
We have seen the first half of this true story starring Ray Liotta as Henry Hill, a former mobster. In Part 2, we can see how the murder of Batts marked the turning point in Henry's life.
Shortly after the murder and burial, Paulie pulls Henry aside:
P: What did you hear about that thing?
H: What thing? The Brooklyn thing?
P: No, no. The guy from downtown.
H: The guy from near where Fritzie used to live?
P: No. The guy who disappeared up the block from Christie, the one they made the beef on. You know the guy I mean?
H: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.
P: Well, his name was Batts, and these people are driving everybody crazy looking for him, and they should leave him wherever the fuck he is.
H: Nobody knows what happened to him. He came into the joint that one night, and then he just disappeared, and that was it.
P: Alright, keep your eyes open, because they're busting my balls about this bastard, alright?
H: O.K.
P: Alright?
H: Yeah.
P: Yeah?
H: Yeah.
