Yesterday, when I got home from the university, I checked the mail and saw an envelope from the head office of Yakitori Daikichi in Osaka. I entered my room and opened the envelope, which contained a paper with a few words written on it, and a strange little pack made of thick paper. My reaction on opening the pack was "Yeah!" because inside there were six Daikichi vouchers of 3000 yen that can be used at any Daikichi in Japan.
I had entered last month in the monthly prize draw at the Daikichi website. Actually, I work part-time at Daikichi Shinhoka branch, and staff are forbidden from entering in the prize draw. But the manager said I should try because no-one would check. I wrote about my branch, praising the good atmosphere, the energetic manager, and the cheerful staff, and said I eat there every week. I thought anything was worth trying.
My friends always say that they want to eat yakitori in Daikichi, so I will go as a customer with them. And of course I will use the Daikichi vouchers!
