I'll go to the University of Incarnate Word in Texas. I'll leave Japan at the beginning of August. I got a great chance today. I can meet a teacher who is from San Antonio, Texas. My teacher introduced her to me. I'm anxious about many things, so I want to ask her how is Texas. I'm looking forward to it. I go to the university which has two Starbucks, pools and gym. I was very surprised to hear that. The university is much bigger than ours. I'll stay at a room in a dormitory which has a kitchen, three bed rooms, a living room and so on. I'll have sweetmates and roommate who are from another countries. I hope I could make good friends with them. If I can do that, I'll get opportunities to talk in English.
The University of Incarnate Word is in San Antonio. Do you know San Antonio? It is a sister city of Kumamoto city. Kumamoto city send us there as a exchange student.
San Antonio is the ninth biggest city in the US. It is the third city in Texas. San Antonio is a good pupular tourist destination. The jewel of city is River Walk (pictutre) which meanders through the downtown area. It attracts several million visitors every year. This attraction is an impressive festival of lights during the Chistmas and New Year holiday period. The down town area is near the university, so I want to visit there.
