I have a few best friends whom I trust, and I'd like to tell you about one of them.

I first met her when I entered high school, and we were in the same class in the first year. My first impression of her was not good because she always stared at me and talked to me in a very familiar way. I am shy of strangers and I don't take to people who adopt an overfamiliar attitude on meeting someone for the first time, so I avoided her.

One day, we all had to change seats, and I ended up just in front of her, and we thus got to talk. Neither of us was hard-working and we hardly did any homework. Our high school was an academic-track school that gave us a lot of assignments every day. We had to hand it in before going home so we often stayed behind after school. We didn't make progress with the homework because we did nothing but talk, about all kinds of things. She is very well-informed and so interesting. I always had a good time with her.

In the second year, we were in different classes. We saw each other less often but we did meet up in the holidays, and our friendship did not change. In the third grade, we were in the same class once again. With university entrance exams approaching, the year was very tough, with more classes and assignments every day. Stress built up and we felt like escaping, but we encouraged each other and got over it. We passed our respective exams, but we went to different universities and lived far away from each other.

Since then, we haven't met very frequently, but in the long vacation we meet and talk about recent events. Now she's studying in Korea, and I hope she will work hard there. I miss her and want to vist her someday.
